Who we are: Pine Tree Golden Retriever Club, Inc. of Maine was founded in 1976 to promote and advance the Golden Retriever breed by encouraging responsible ownership, exhibiting and breeding. Many PTGRC members belong to the Golden Retriever Club of America (GRCA). We bring together Golden Retriever fanciers from all over Maine to share information, ideas and fun. Our diverse membership includes pet owners, show enthusiasts and breeders.
Activities: Meetings are held monthly that include dog related activities such as tracking, conformation, obedience, agility and grooming as well as guest speakers. Those who love delicious food and exciting activities for people and dogs, won’t want to miss our annual Fun Match , walkathons, and
Christmas party. We also sponsor yearly heart and eye clinics.
Membership: Members are vital to our club and we encourage all members to actively participate in planning and organizing events. Our monthly newsletter includes articles on dog care, announcements of upcoming events and “brags” on our dogs’ most recent accomplishments.
